The spaces where people gather to play depend on infrastructure that often goes unseen. For the sports park in Toronto’s Downsview area, Valentine Underground self-performed all civil servicing, bringing sanitary services, watermain installation and stormwater management into one scope. This work addressed the park’s water supply, wastewater collection and stormwater needs, establishing the underground services behind its recreational spaces.
